On August 3, 2005, Henry Thompson Jr. was shot and killed at approximately 12:30 am in the 4000 block of Arkansas Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of gunfire and found Thompson at the scene. Despite efforts by first responders, he succumbed to his injuries.
