On a Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C., a tragic event unfolded that would end the life of a 57-year-old man, Mark Johnson. At approximately 12:19 p.m. on September 17, 2021, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 4500 block of Benning Road, SE. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
