On September 11, 2022, at approximately 4:13 am, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the sounds of gunshots in the 700 block of T Street, Northwest, Washington, DC. Upon arrival, they discovered 50-year-old Stephon Jenkins suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
