In the summer of 2019, a burst of gunfire on a Saturday night in Northwest Washington, D.C. marked the tragic end of a young man's life. John Fenner Thomas, a 30-year-old male from Northeast, D.C., was shot multiple times on the evening of Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the 2600 block of Sherman Avenue, Northwest.
