In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 18, 2025, the life of 21-year-old Raymont Owens, a male resident of Southeast, D.C., was tragically cut short. At approximately 9:27 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District were dispatched to an apartment in the 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast, following reports of a shooting. Inside the apartment, they discovered Owens suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
