In the early hours of a summer Saturday in Washington, D.C., the life of 17-year-old Steven Deshawn Mahogany was tragically cut short. On June 26, 2010, at approximately 1:47 a.m., the young man was shot and killed in the 800 block of 21st Street, Northeast. Remembered by his family as a loving son, brother, nephew, and athlete, Steven had a future full of promise that was violently extinguished.
