In the early afternoon of a summer day in Washington, D.C., the life of 31-year-old Dimitrie Jackson was tragically cut short. On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at approximately 12:36 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Mississippi Avenue, Southeast. Upon arrival, they discovered a grim scene: an adult male, later identified as Dimitrie Jackson, inside a vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
