In the late evening hours of Thursday, January 30, 2025, the life of 55-year-old Steven Wilson of Northeast, D.C., was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in the Northwest quadrant of the city. At approximately 9:32 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District were dispatched to the 400 block of N Street, Northwest, following a report of gunfire.
Upon their arrival at the scene, police discovered Mr. Wilson suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were promptly summoned, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Despite the life-saving efforts of medical personnel, Steven Wilson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the homicide. As of now, authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in their investigation. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death.
