In the early evening of February 17, 2020, police responded to a call about an unconscious man in an apartment in Northeast Washington, D.C. Inside a residence in the 2100 block of I Street, NE, they found 31-year-old Cordaro Pierre Chambers, a male, suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and found no signs of life; Chambers was pronounced dead inside his own apartment.
