There they found 61-year-old Fred Morgan of Southeast, D.C., suffering from a gunshot wound.

male victim to a nearby hospital. Despite the urgent medical attention and all life-saving efforts, Fred Morgan succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The Metropolitan Police Department promptly launched a homicide investigation into the fatal shooting, with detectives from the Homicide Branch taking the lead on the case.
