On July 30, 2017, at approximately 2:50 PM, Jermaine Richards, Jr., a 17-year-old from Washington, DC, was fatally shot in the 4400 block of Quarles Street, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and discovered Richards with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
