In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 22, 2005, a tragic event unfolded on the streets of Washington, D.C. that ended the life of Emmett Louis Jordan, Jr. At approximately 1:50 a.m., near the intersection of 16th and U Streets, SE, Mr. Jordan was fatally shot. The incident cut short the life of a man described by those who knew him as wonderful, with a great sense of humor, gentle, and kind.
