On May 26, 2022, 16-year-old Justin Johnson, known by his stage name 23 Rackz, was tragically shot and killed in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 11:24 a.m. on the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace. Johnson, a rising local rapper from Temple Hills, Maryland, was reportedly filming a video outside his home when he was shot. He had recently released an album titled "Rookie of the Year" in 2021 and two songs, "Dragging" and "Hook," in April 2022.
