On a cold evening in Washington, D.C., a life was tragically cut short, leaving behind a mystery that has endured for decades. It was the first of March in 1976 when Richard Thomas Perry, a 42-year-old man, was working his shift as a Diamond Cab driver. As he navigated the city streets near the intersection of 6th and Massachusetts Avenue, NE, with a passenger in his cab, an act of violence unfolded that would end his life.
