On a Saturday morning in Washington, D.C., the sound of gunshots shattered the peace of a residential street. On April 15, 2023, in the 1300 block of W Street, Northeast, 20-year-old Amonte Wood, a male resident of Northeast, D.C., was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at approximately 10:43 a.m. in the Brentwood area.
