On July 19, 2019, Hugh Washington, aged 57, and his son Ahkii Washington-Scruggs, aged 17, were found dead inside their residence in the 1100 block of Queen Street NE, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene at approximately 5:49 pm and found both individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
