On a summer evening in Washington, D.C., the life of Vincent Palmer, a 29-year-old Black man, was cut short by gunfire. The incident occurred at approximately 5:29 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in the 1300 block of Stevens Road, Southeast, near the Barry Farm neighborhood. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Palmer suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite any medical attention he may have received, he was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting.
