On a Tuesday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 59-year-old Allen Hill Jr. was tragically cut short. On April 4, 2023, at approximately 9:01 p.m., shots rang out in the 100 block of Xenia Street in the Southeast quadrant of the city. When officers from the Seventh District arrived at the residential street, they discovered a grim scene. Hill had been shot and was found unconscious and not breathing.
Emergency medical services were called to the location, but despite their efforts,
Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was also a victim of the gunfire, suffering non-life-threatening injuries for which he was transported to a local hospital.
