In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 8, 2017, the life of 30-year-old Norman James, a Black male, was tragically cut short. At approximately 2:35 a.m., in the 5100 block of H Street, SE in Washington, D.C., James was fatally shot. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and launched a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
