In the early evening of January 18, 2024, a tragic event unfolded in the 4000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast in Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 66-year-old Sherman Bunch, a Black male resident of Northeast, D.C. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District were dispatched to the location around 6:00 p.m. following a report of a shooting.
