Jace Lee Scott was a 19-year-old Black/African American male whose life ended in a shooting shortly after midnight on November 24, 2019, inside the Small Business Incubator Building on the campus of Southern University at New Orleans. New Orleans police were called to the 6800 block of Press Drive at approximately 12:03 a.m. after a report that someone had been shot. Officers found Scott suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
