De'Von Jones, an 18-year-old from Surprise, Arizona, tragically lost his life due to gun violence. The incident occurred on July 2, 2024, although he did not succumb to his injuries immediately.

Following the shooting, De'Von Jones was critically injured and passed away two days later on July 4, 2024. The incident led to the arrest of Daniel Majok, also 18 years old, who was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon among other charges.
