A 43-year-old man, Daniel Joseph Roman, was fatally shot on September 23, 2024, in the parking lot of a QuikTrip in Surprise, Arizona, located near Bell Road and Loop 303. Emergency responders found him at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.

The investigation into the shooting identified the gunman as 49-year-old Lucas Izzo. It was determined that Izzo was the ex-husband of the woman Roman was currently dating. According to police, Izzo shot Roman without provocation because of Roman' ...
