On December 20, 2016, at approximately 5:50 p.m., New Castle County Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious man on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of Linda Road in the Darley Woods community of Claymont, Delaware. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old Jakeith Latham, a resident of Clayton, New Jersey, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
