In the early hours of October 2, 2020, a burst of gunfire in the parking lot of the Casablanca restaurant in New Castle, Delaware, claimed the life of 28-year-old Tymir J. Mason, a Black male from Wilmington. The violence of that morning also resulted in the death of another Wilmington man, 30-year-old Malik X. Miller.
