On December 31, 2019, at approximately 6:49 p.m., New Castle County police officers responded to a reported shooting in the Ashton Condominiums on Willings Way, New Castle, Delaware. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Cornelius Wright inside a parked car, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
