In the early morning hours of Saturday, February 18, 2017, the life of 29-year-old John Marcus Fryer, a Black/African American male from New Castle, Delaware, was tragically cut short. The incident occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. in the Coachman's Manor Apartments complex on the 1500 block of Surry Court. Fryer was returning to an apartment with his girlfriend when the fatal encounter took place.
