Murdered

On May 8, 2020, at approximately 10:13 a.m., Paul C. Marino, 86, and his wife, Lidia Marino, 85, both of Elkton, Maryland, were visiting the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware. During their visit, they were shot by 29-year-old Sheldon C. Francis of Middletown, Delaware. Lidia was pronounced dead at the scene, while Paul was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries the following day.
