Marquise Holmes, a 20-year-old Black / African American male, was shot in Wilmington, Delaware, on the night of August 14, 2021. Police said the shooting happened at about 8:49 p.m. in the 2700 block of Bowers Street, where officers found Holmes suffering from gunshot wounds. He was still alive when help arrived, and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but he later died from his injuries.
