Marquise Holmes, a 20-year-old resident of Wilmington, Delaware, tragically lost his life on August 14, 2021, in what authorities later determined to be a homicide. Holmes was found with gunshot wounds in the area of the 100 block of W. 28th Street in Wilmington, prompting an immediate police response. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, but despite efforts to save him, Holmes succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting.
