Damar Smith, 27, a male who was Black/African American, was shot on the night of September 14, 2020, in Wilmington’s Prices Run neighborhood. Shortly before 9 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire near Vandever Avenue and Locust Street. They found a 27-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds; he was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
