Abel Rivera-Mojica, 35, male, White/Caucasian, was shot during a Fourth of July gathering on Wilmington’s West Side and died shortly afterward at the hospital. Around 9:01 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2020, police were called to the 300 block of North Clayton Street, where they found him critically wounded; a 16-year-old boy was also struck by gunfire and transported in stable condition.
