On the evening of September 25, 2023, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Wilmington Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of South Claymont Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Zyair Burton suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
