On a summer evening in Wilmington, Delaware, a verbal dispute at an auto repair shop on the 800 block of East 13th Street turned deadly. It was July 6, 2020, when 37-year-old Andre Hickson, a Black/African American male, was fatally shot in the chest. The confrontation began as a verbal altercation with another man, which escalated tragically when a firearm was produced.
