On May 14, 2014, 20-year-old Davon Taylor was fatally shot in a drive-by incident on Wendell Street in Providence, Rhode Island. At approximately 4:00 p.m., while seated in his vehicle with his 15-year-old sister, Destiny Taylor, shots were fired from a passing car, resulting in Davon's death and Destiny's injury.
