On the morning of September 25, 2021, Jorge Garcia, a 38-year-old Hispanic male, was having breakfast at Roque's Café on Broad Street in Providence, Rhode Island. His life was cut short in a sudden act of violence that morning. A masked individual, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with distinctive white lettering, entered the restaurant at approximately 8:56 a.m. and shot Garcia six times, killing him.
