On December 26, 2018, 31-year-old David Long of Providence, Rhode Island, was fatally shot during a planned robbery. The incident occurred after Long and three other men, including 33-year-old Pofinima Gweama of Pawtucket, returned from a nightclub in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Unbeknownst to Long, Gweama and two co-conspirators had devised a plan to rob their fellow passengers upon returning to Providence.
