In the early hours of June 20, 2021, a Black / African American male named Camron Abass Mbaye, 29 years old, was fatally shot in Providence, Rhode Island. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. outside a house party on Cheshire Street. Mbaye, who was reportedly visiting from Senegal, and a friend, 24-year-old Abdoulaye Diallo, had entered the party through a back door.
