On a Saturday night in Providence, a life was cut short in a city park. A young Hispanic/Latino man, 19-year-old Juan Carlos Morales, was shot and killed on June 10, 2023, in what police have described as a targeted incident. Investigators believe that Morales knew his alleged killer and that they were together in the same group at a park in Olneyville that evening.
