On the evening of June 25, 2019, 36-year-old Freddy Tola was fatally shot while at LaTour Auto Body Shop on Valley Street in Providence, Rhode Island. Tola was at the shop to have his car repaired when, around 9:30 p.m., an assailant entered through an open garage door and shot him at close range. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
