On the evening of May 14, 2021, Tyreik Grundy, a 25-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot in Providence, Rhode Island. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. while Grundy was seated in a friend's SUV parked in a lot on Pope Street in the Olneyville neighborhood.
