In the summer of 2021, a young Hispanic man's life was tragically cut short on the streets of Providence, Rhode Island. Nineteen-year-old David Lozada was walking down Ford Street on the evening of July 5th when he was brutally attacked. The assault was sudden and violent; an individual inside a passing vehicle opened fire, striking Lozada. In a horrifying escalation of the attack, the same vehicle that carried the shooter then deliberately ran him over as he lay wounded in the street.
