In the soft divide between Monday night and Tuesday morning, Tykese Warren, 23, a male from Greensboro, sat in a parked vehicle on the 1000 block of Terrell Drive in High Point with 19-year-old Shawn D. Zimmerman Jr. when gunfire tore through the quiet street just after 12:30 a.m. on June 10, 2025. Officers arrived to find both men shot multiple times; Zimmerman was pronounced dead at the scene, while Tykese Warren, 23, male, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
