On a warm summer night in Providence, Rhode Island, the life of 23-year-old Dimitri Perry, a Black / African American male, was cut tragically short. In the early morning hours of July 6, 2015, a sense of dread filled Dimitri as he drove along Interstate 95. He was on the phone with his mother, Annette Perry, and in a frightened voice, told her he was being chased by another vehicle. The conversation would be their last. His final words to her were, "I love you.".
