In the early hours of August 12, 2024, in Meridian, Mississippi, the life of 32-year-old Marquel Devon Holcombe was tragically cut short. Shortly before 2 a.m., Holcombe was shot near the intersection of Paulding Street and 40th Avenue. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention, but succumbed to his injuries and died.
