On an afternoon in Meridian, Mississippi, the life of Byron Dale McQuarters Jr., a 35-year-old male, was cut short by a single gunshot. The incident, which occurred on April 28, 2025, unfolded near 22nd Avenue, in the vicinity of a former Fred's store and a Marathon gas station. Emergency services responded to reports of a man being shot and transported McQuarters to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
