In the late summer of 2016, a night out in Meridian, Mississippi, turned tragic for Sirmacio Nevardo Wright, a 36-year-old man. On the evening of Saturday, August 27, Wright was at a nightclub located near 16th Avenue and 4th Street when he was shot. In the immediate aftermath, he was privately transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
