Death by Force

On September 6, 2015, Demarcus Deangelo Smith, a 20-year-old resident of Meridian, Mississippi, was tragically murdered. Smith and an associate were walking northbound on 25th Avenue near 16th Street when they encountered two black males walking southbound. After passing Smith and his associate, one of the individuals began firing a weapon, striking Smith multiple times in the back. Smith collapsed at the scene and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
