In the early morning hours of May 15, 2022, the life of Gary Moffite, a 43-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Meridian, Mississippi. At approximately 3:30 AM, near the Eastern Garden Apartments, Moffite was shot and killed. The Meridian Police Department was quick to respond to the incident and identified him as the victim of a homicide.
