In addition to the murder charge, Johnson faced multiple other charges stemming from a separate shooting incident that occurred on February 23, 2024.

Further developments in the case came on May 17, 2024, with the arrest of a second suspect, 20-year-old Dedtrick Jones. Jones was also charged with murder for his alleged role in Horn's death, and his bond was set at $1 million.
