On October 26, 2021, 17-year-old Taquan Jones was tragically shot and killed in Harlem, Manhattan, New York. The incident occurred in broad daylight, just after 3:20 p.m., near the corner of Lenox Avenue and West 132nd Street. Taquan was struck by a bullet in the chest and, despite his efforts to flee, he collapsed onto a driveway a short distance away. Emergency responders rushed him to Harlem Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
