In the Harlem borough of Manhattan, New York, a 17-year-old male named Taquan Jones was fatally shot on the afternoon of October 26, 2021. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of West 132nd Street and Malcolm X Boulevard. Jones, a senior at Harlem Renaissance High School, was struck in the chest by a single bullet. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
